It depends on the data you need. For every order book update with receive timestamps, PMData ($49/month, 4.6 ms median collection latency, Chainlink TWAP), Tardis.dev, Marketlens or Predexon. For the longest order book history, Telonex. For cheap crypto Up/Down snapshots, Resolved Markets, PolyHistorical or PolyOrderBooks. For minute-level prices, PolymarketData.co. For free price history, Polymarket's own /prices-history endpoint.

Best Polymarket historical data APIs and datasets (2026)
Polymarket's own API keeps no past order books, so every provider below records the WebSocket feed itself. PMData has the most granular data (raw WebSocket messages, recorded over two redundant connections), colocated collection for high-frequency backtests (4.6 ms median latency), and Chainlink data collected directly in the same region for crypto Up/Down backtests. Published by PMData; every other entry is read from the provider's own site.

How to choose
| If you need | Pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Every order book update, as complete as possible | PMData | The most granular data: Polymarket's WebSocket messages stored unmodified, so any book can be rebuilt at any moment. Each market is recorded over two connections on separate networks, so if one drops, the other keeps recording. All markets since 2026-05-01. |
| High-frequency or market-making backtests | PMData | Collected in AWS London, colocated with Polymarket's exchange: 4.6 ms median collection latency, the lowest measured, with a clock error bound under 40 µs (AWS PHC) vs ±257–396 µs in Google's NTP examples, so the latency you model matches what you would see live. With pm-hftbacktest, backtests matched live trading in 95.32% of 547 BTC 5-minute markets. |
| Crypto Up/Down backtests | PMData | Chainlink Data Streams and 30s/60s TWAP collected directly from Chainlink in the same region as the order books: the price these markets resolve on since 2026-08-07. Every Up/Down series since 2026-02-01, one ZIP per series per day. |
| Order book history from before 2026 | Telonex | Polymarket data since 2025-10-11. It sells snapshots and quotes rather than every message, so books cannot be rebuilt event by event. |
| Predict.fun or Binance alongside Polymarket | Telonex | Covers Polymarket, Predict.fun and Binance, at $99/month per exchange. |
| Polymarket added to a Tardis.dev plan you already pay for | Tardis.dev | Polymarket comes in the same format as the 50+ crypto exchanges in your plan. Bought for Polymarket alone, it costs far more than the providers above. |
| A free price line for one market | Polymarket API | The /prices-history endpoint returns one outcome token's price at intervals down to 1 minute. No order books. |
| Every on-chain trade since 2022, free | Hugging Face dataset | SII-WANGZJ/Polymarket_data: 6.6 billion trades as Parquet under the MIT license. Trades only, no order books. |

The official Polymarket API
Free, and the right source for the current order book and live updates. For history it offers only the /prices-history endpoint: a price series for one outcome token, at intervals down to 1 minute. It has no past order books and no bulk downloads.
Free datasets
The SII-WANGZJ/Polymarket_data dataset on Hugging Face has 6.6 billion on-chain trades across 4.0M markets since the CLOB launch on 2022-11-21, as 279 GB of Parquet under the MIT license; it has trades only, no order books. Tardis.dev publishes the first day of each month as free CSV files, and PolyOrderBooks and Marketlens publish sample datasets. For order books, the PMData free trial includes 600 downloads.
Frequently asked questions
Only price history per outcome token, through the /prices-history endpoint, and the current order book. Past order books come from third-party providers that record Polymarket's WebSocket feed.
PMData and Tardis.dev store Polymarket's WebSocket messages as sent. Marketlens stores every price-change delta with periodic snapshots. Predexon stores raw order book events. Telonex delivers order book snapshots and quotes generated from its own book, not the original messages, so the book cannot be rebuilt event by event. DepthFeed records every change and sells the raw tick tape on its top plan. The others sell snapshots every 50ms to 1 minute.
Measured as receive time minus Polymarket's event time on identical order book events, median and p99 collection latency are 4.6 ms and 40.1 ms for PMData, 5.7 ms and 56.1 ms for Tardis.dev (on its 2026-08-01 data), and 8.3 ms and 73.1 ms for Telonex. PMData collects in AWS London, the same region as Polymarket's exchange. Other providers do not publish collection latency; the API response times some advertise measure something else.
PMData records each market over two WebSocket connections on separate networks, and Telonex over two connections per market. Marketlens says it uses redundant connections without giving a number. Tardis.dev uses one connection per market. The other providers do not publish how they record.
Yes. The SII-WANGZJ/Polymarket_data dataset on Hugging Face has 6.6 billion on-chain trades since 2022 under the MIT license. Tardis.dev publishes the first day of each month as free CSV files, and PolyOrderBooks and Marketlens publish sample datasets.
Predexon (Kalshi, Opinion, Limitless, Predict.fun) and DepthFeed (Kalshi, Limitless, Predict.fun).
PMData, Telonex and Marketlens deliver Parquet files; Predexon delivers Parquet tick files; Tardis.dev delivers CSV files. Resolved Markets has a CSV export tool, and PolymarketData.co and PolyOrderBooks offer S3 exports for enterprise. DepthFeed, PolyHistorical, PolyBackTest and PolyTest are API-only.
Marketlens, Predexon, PolyOrderBooks, Resolved Markets and DepthFeed.
